A walk along La Jaquita beach

La Jaquita beach in El Médano is recognized by its Blue Flag, which guarantees high quality services and water.

It is a mixture of golden sand and rocks that forms a small bay protected from the waves. If you want to swim, it is best to do so on the right side to avoid the rocky area below the Hotel Arenas del Mar.

You will find areas with trees where you can relax in the shade or organise a meal with your friends.

Above the beach there are colorful houses in the purest Canarian style and even caves where people live. You will also see some boats on the sand that give that seafaring atmosphere that characterizes El Médano.

Before closing its doors, the beach bar La Jaquita was one of the most charming corners of El Médano. Beers for €1 and incredible sunsets where you could only breathe good vibes.

Unfortunately it is still closed and from elmedanoweb.com we support its reopening.

The beach is not usually guarded by lifeguards, so be aware of the state of the sea and be cautious. However, the beach is usually safe and there are no strong currents.

On the beach of La Jaquita they organize yoga classes, do you dare to try? 😉
